Report or mute a player

During a council, tap ⋯ beside another player's message. Mute hides their messages on your device for the rest of that room. Report sends the message, the room code and both player names to us for review. We read every report. Before a night begins, the host can remove another player from the lobby. During a night, use Mute or Report, or leave the room; you can leave at any time.

Offensive words in chat are masked automatically, and a name containing one is replaced with “Brother”.

For parents

The game is about finding a liar: it includes deception, accusations and a fictional condemnation. Nothing graphic is shown. The dramatic verdict scene shows a stylized fire with no injury or suffering. On any device, Menu → Verdict scene → Gentle · led out shows the condemned brother led out through the gate instead.

For a mixed table, the host can tap Family night in the lobby: nobody types, everyone speaks in ready-made lines, and every device uses the gentle verdict. The story always uses the gentle verdict. The game is not directed at children under 13.

Rules of the abbey

Online games are played with other people. By hosting or joining one you agree to keep these rules:

• No abuse, threats, hatred, or sexual or indecent words, in chat or in your name.
• No harassing a player who has asked you to stop.
• Do not post anyone's private information.

Objectionable words and abusive players are not tolerated. The game masks offensive words, any player can mute or report a message, the host can remove a player from the lobby, and we read every report.

Playing together

One player creates an abbey and shares its six-character room code or invite link. Everyone plays on the same server, whether they use the app or the website at play.complinegames.com. If a room has expired, create a new one. Practice and Tonight's vigil work without other players.
